1. I am writing this as a plea to all of you who are interested in assisting and helping me out with my projects, financially.

2. In the last couple of months, I’ve spent some considerable amount of time learning Qt development and I have prepared some applications to be made available. I cant spill the beans yet at the moment The time will come…

3. However, at the moment, my work machine is an underpowered Lenovo S10-2 netbook which becomes slower and as about to die in the coming months. It crashes around ten times, EVERYDAY!

4. I have some fund to buy a new workhorse but it’s insufficient at the moment.

5. You can assist me with the following method :

- Buy my Symbian stuff from Ovi Store
- Donate to my PayPal (click the PayPal banner below or the “Donate to us” button on the sidebar)

6. I am targetting one thousand dollars (USD1000) to get a proper workmachine and also some devices to do real world tests. In my hand, I have now around six hundred dollars (USD600). It took me eight months to save that six hundred bucks and to reach one thousand, another six months maybe…

7. I will be eternally grateful to those who are willing to help me. And for others, your support to i-symbian.com over these years (almost ten years!) is also important.

1. Sorry to my readers for the long hiatus. Been really busy

2. This is a short post. Just want to ask contribution and donation to help me repair my laptop’s screen. The cost is going to be around USD200. As you can see, only 60% of the screen is usable at the moment.

2. Some of them used to be heavy Symbian users, infact, long before that, Psion users.

3. Now they carry iPhones, Blackberries, some WinMobs and even normal phones with basic functions.

4. For them, Symbian is dumb, hard to use and isn’t trendy at all. Not the “in” thing…

5. To them, their own. And for me, I have my own reasons to stick and use this “non-attractive” Symbian phones.

6. With all bells and whistles in modern mobile computing devices, in my opinion, only Symbian smartphones can withstand my very heavy usage pattern with satisfying battery power.

7. My E52 can stay 3 to 5 days on a single charge. This is with Gravity, RoadSync, Opera Mini, WordMobi, Kinoma Play, FM Radio, Messaging and many more, running in the background.

8. Not to forget, voice calls.

9. Battery power, and reliability is very important for me.

10. So, untill other mobile OS can beat Symbian in efficient power handling, thanks. But no thanks. I will stick with Symbian.
